Sports and Remedial Massage

This is a deep massage, done to create the body's return to normal health after injury, it  also speeds recovery and encourages more complete healing.

Remedial Massage has particular success with long standing back and compound injuries that have resisted previous treatment attempts.

Used by many athletes for pre and post event to help with preventing debilitating injuries.

Swedish Massage

A variety of techniques designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them.  The main purpose is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscle.  Other possible benefits include stimulation of circulation, an increase in muscle tone, and a balance of the musculoskeletal systems.

Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissue of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a type of massage where smooth, heated basalt stones are used to either be placed or moved across the body.

The heat from the stones leads to deep relaxation and helps to warm up the tight muscles, enabling the therapist to work more deeply into the muscles, while at the same time promoting relaxation.

Bamboo Massage

In this increasingly popular new type of treatment, bamboo sticks of various lengths and diameters are used to massage the body. The sticks are gently warmed and applied to massage deep into tight muscles.

This massage is especially beneficial if you suffer from tightness in the legs after sport or neck and shoulder area is tense from working on a desk all day. As with the Hot stones the warmth of the bamboo helps promote relaxation and enables a deeper impact on releasing the tension. It's a very efficient deep tissue massage with the feel good effect of a Spa treatment.
